Mary Joyce Hamel Wolff

Mary Joyce Hamel Wolff of Chesnee, SC, the daughter of John and Roberta Hamel was born in Marquette, Michigan on September 26,1929. She departed to be with her Lord Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the age of 93.

Mary Wolff is preceded in death by her first husband, Lee S. Wolff of 49 years, and her second husband, Wilbur S. Burnett of 11 years. She is survived by her children, MaryLee Bolitho of Chesnee, SC, Robert Wolff of Columbia, SC, David Wolff of Chesnee, SC, JoAnn Olivier of Negaunee, MI, and Paul Wolff of Inman, SC. One child, Carol Reneau, preceded her into glory.

Mary Wolff is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren, plus many step-children and grandchildren.

After High School and two years of college at Northern State Normal School (Northern Michigan University), Mary Wolff owned and managed numerous businesses with her husband including Wolff Sewing Center, Wolff Distributors, Marquette Manufacturing, and Wolff Industries. She then retired at the age of 70.

Mary was a long-time member of Trinity Presbyterian in Spartanburg SC and loved her Lord, her family, and her community. She will be greatly missed by many.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg with the Rev. Andrew Dionne officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Roebuck, SC.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
