Martha B. Neighbors

Martha B. Neighbors, 100, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025 at 7:30 pm.

Mrs. Neighbors was born March 18, 1924, in Spartanburg County, a daughter of the late Floyd and Lilly Duggins Buchanan.

She joined Beaumont Baptist Church on April 7, 1946, and in 2018 was honored as the oldest living member of the church. Martha was active in her Sunday School class, sang in the choir, and was active as a church host and Director of the senior program at the church. Martha was a devoted wife and mother and loved cooking and caring for her family.

Martha is survived by her son, Joseph F. Byers; three daughters-in-law; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Vonley Lee Byers who was killed in WWII in 1944, her husband Everette Neighbors; two sons, Roger E. Neighbors and Fred Neighbors.

Funeral services will be conducted, Monday, January 20, 2025, at 1:00 pm, in the Chapel of Egger's Funeral Home of Boiling Springs with Rev. John Cox and Rev. John Lee officiating.

Interment will be private.
