Marshall Lee Wright

Mr. Marshall Lee Wright, 80, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Wright was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 3, 1943, to the late Kathy Azilee Wright Collins.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Wright; sons, Vincent Wright, Ronald Wright, David Wright, and Vincent Arrowood; and sisters, Mary Kimbrell, Linda Kimbrell, and Louise Benson.

Mr. Wright was a member at Open Arms Church since 2019 and previously a member of Fingerville Baptist Church. He loved and was devoted to the Lord and his family. He joined the National Guard in his early years, and he worked in textiles for 30 years as a security guard before he retired.

Marshall was well-known for being a man who would help anyone in need, especially his family. He had many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews that he loved and cared for. He was loved by many family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 1:00PM at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel in Chesnee with the Rev. Belton Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC.

Pallbearers will be Billy Kimbrell, Bobby Kimbrell, James Kimbrell, Jesse Whalen, Allan Kimbrell, David Kimbrell, and Jay Smart.
