Macy Irene Harris Munsey

Macy Irene Harris Munsey, age 92 of Cliffside, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was the widow of the late Elbert Munsey. Macy was born October 5, 1932 in Rutherford County, NC to the late W.O. Harris and the late Stella Jones Harris. She was a faithful member of Cliffside Baptist Church and was a part of the Ladies' Friendship Mission Group meetings. She loved to cook for her family and friends and also loved to plant and tend to her flowers. Macy will be fondly remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Macy is survived by her son, Kelly Dean Munsey and his wife Ann, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nephew Roland Blanton and his wife Joyce, niece Patricia Ingle and her husband Livingston and many extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Macy is preceded in death by four brothers; Gother Harris, Roscoe Harris, J.L. Harris and Guy Harris and two sisters; Estelle Blanton and Gladys Huckabee.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Staff of Fair Haven Home of Bostic, NC for the great care they have shown to Macy during her stay with them.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Cliffside Baptist Church in Cliffside, NC. The funeral service will be at 1:00pm at Cliffside Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Elgin and Reverend Dale Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
