M. Dupree Jolley

M. Dupree Jolley, 85, of Chesnee, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Born on October 19, 1940, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dupree was the son of the late Wilbert Jolley and Ruth Elizabeth Cash Jolley.

Dupree was a faithful, lifelong member of Piedmont Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and youth leader. His love for the Lord was evident through his years of dedicated service to his church and also as a Gideon serving with The Gideons International He was an outdoorsman and  found great joy in fishing and working in his yard.  Above all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Arrington, and husband, Craig; and two grandsons, Zachary Arrington and Chase Arrington.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jolley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emily Green Jolley; his sister, Sylvia "Lougene" Jolley Darby; and an infant sister, Martha Jolley.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Piedmont Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Larry Fleming and Rev. Scott Davis. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Arrington, Chase Arrington, Michael Blanton, Richard "Butch" Genoble, Sr., Edward Holder, and Horace Pettit.
