Loyd Calvin Gilbert

Loyd Calvin Gilbert, 77, of Inman, SC, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Leroy and Margaret Gilbert. He was a carpenter and a musician by trade. He was known as "Lefty Loyd". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Ralph Gilbert; and four siblings, Charles, David, Everett and Martha Gilbert.

Calvin is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Judy Lynn Gilbert; five children: Lisa Stanley of Virginia, Melissa Fowler of Boiling Springs, Pamela Orr of Inman, Lewis Stephens of Colorado, and Amanda Horton of Inman; a brother, J.L. Gilbert of Inman; 19 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Calvin's life will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
