Lorene Revels Street

Ms. Lorene Revels Street, age 87 of Forest City, NC, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Fair Haven of Forest City, NC. She was born January 27, 1937 in Knoxville, TN to the late Floyd Boyce Revels and the late Lila Mae Stevens Revels. Lorene was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Forest City and worked for over 20 years in textiles. Lorene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was very funny and loved to sing to everyone she met in turn leaving a smile on their face.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Sherrie Mitchell and her husband Jeffrey, granddaughters; Alexis Littlejohn (Kristen) of Inman, SC, Macy Ledford (Hunter) of Kernersville, NC, Elizabeth Drum (Kyle) of Connelly Springs, NC, daughter in law Anita Phillips of Forest City, NC, great grandson Phillip Graham Ledford, sister Frances Ward of Forest City, one very special adopted son Leroy Littlejohn of Shelby, NC.

In addition to her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by her sons; Samuel Dean Phillips and David Mack Phillips, grandson Zachary Austin Littlejohn and her brother William "Billy" Hamrick.

A memorial service to celebrate Lorene's life will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00pm in The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC with Reverend Brian Melton officiating. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice in memory of Lorene. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
