Kennon Carol Vise

Kennon Carol Vise, age 76, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Born January 29, 1950, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Carol Frederick Vise and Joye Lawson Vise. Ken was a proud United States Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

Ken was known throughout his community as a master craftsman, whose skill and dedication left a lasting imprint on countless homes and buildings. With steady hands and a keen eye for detail, he specialized in construction and restoration work, including the preservation of historic homes. His work reflected not only technical excellence, but also deep pride in doing things the right way.

As a member of Living Water Church under the leadership of Rev. Frank Bryant, Ken lived his life grounded in faith. He found joy fishing and especially enjoyed surf fishing at the beach. He also enjoyed designing and constructing personal custom craft projects.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Karen Pryor Vise; son, Kennon Vise and wife, Mitzi; sisters, Sharon Barnes and Marshia Heath; grandchildren, Christian Vise (Erica), Cameron Vise (Shelby), Zoey Cooper (Michael), and Abby Cooper; brothers-in-law, Dan Eubanks and Reggie Pryor (Renee).

In addition to his parents, Kennon was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen Vise Cooper; his sister, Aleita Eubanks; and his brother, Tim Vise.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs with Rev. Frank Bryant officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Friday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Kennon will be remembered for his craftsmanship, integrity, and the steady strength with which he lived his life. His legacy lives on in the structures he built, the lives he touched, and the family he leaves behind.
