Keith Nathaniel Jenkins

Keith Nathaniel Jenkins, age 63, of Chesnee, SC, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at home. Keith was born Saturday, March 16, 1963 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Hubert Lee Jenkins and Carolyn Ruth Horn Jenkins. He graduated from Chase High School in 1981and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Clemson University, in 1985. Keith was an active and well-known member of the Clemson Tiger Marching Band, as well as a member of the Mu Beta Psi National Honorary Music Fraternity. Pursuing his love of music, Keith worked in the music industry as a band manager for about seven years while working as an electrical drafting professional for his father's engineering company for about twenty-five years. When his father passed in 2006, Keith took full-time responsibility for the long-term care of his mother until her passing. He supported his father on the family farm, and was a dedicated son, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his brother, Dan Jenkins and sister-in-law, Donna Jenkins of Charlotte, his nephew Alex Jenkins of Raleigh, NC, and niece Katie Jenkins of Cary, NC.

A family conducted memorial ceremony will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the American Legion Post #48 Chesnee, SC with Reverend Susan Haney officiating and brother Dan Jenkins and friend, Dan Codespoti giving the eulogy. Attire is informal. In Keith's honor, please consider wearing your favorite rock band's T-shirt. Private interment will follow at a later date in the Floyds Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Forest City, NC. The family will receive friends following the memorial ceremony.
