Karen Lou Parris Gilbert

Karen Lou Parris Gilbert, 58, of Chesnee, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was born in Spartanburg on June 21, 1964 to the late Mary Gossett Parris and James A. Parris.

Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a faithful member of Dependent Baptist Church in Inman. She enjoyed riding horses and loved animals, especially her dogs. Mrs. Gilbert was also a skilled cabinet maker.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby Gilbert; sons, David Gilbert (Sarah), Barry Gilbert (Robbin), and Donnie Gilbert (Lasinda); sister, Diane P. Beall; brother, James A. Parris, II; sister-in-law, Terri Bagwell (Donnie); grandchildren, Riley, Tiffany, Heather, Amanda, Coker, Peyton, Matthew, Brittany, Anna, and Issac; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, Christie B. Lindsey (Reid) and Stacy P. Brown (Russ); 2 great nieces; and 1 great nephew.

In addition to her parents, Mary and James Parris, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Johnny Beall; and nephew, Landon Parris.

The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM.
