Juean Scruggs Bishop

Mrs. Juean Scruggs Bishop, loving wife of the late Herbert P. Bishop, of Boiling Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at her residence.

Juean was born in Spartanburg County on May 30, 1934, to the late Summie and Pearl Humphries Scruggs. Family was especially important to Juean, and she found great joy in raising her children and helping to raise her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished the time she spent with each generation.

Juean is survived by her loving children, Sandra Elrod of Boiling Springs, Patricia Hallman and her husband, Jeff, of Boiling Springs, and David Bishop and his wife, Trinity, of Chesnee; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, Herbert, and her parents, Summie and Pearl, Juean was preceded in death by her son, Roger Bishop, and two grandchildren.

A private entombment will be held for the family.
