Judy Cox Thrift

Judy Cox Thrift, 75, of Mayo, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026. She was born June 7, 1950 to the late Smith Cox and Beryl Johnson Cox.

Judy was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church where she kept the church nursery for many years. She was a loving Mom, MawMaw, and great grandma, and was like the "neighborhood mom" to many children over the years. She was known for her amazing pancakes.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sandy Halstead (Roy); sons, Philip Thrift (Cathy) and Jay Thrift; grandchildren, Stephen Foster, Logan Henrickson (Tristan), Kelly Turner, Courtney Thrift, and Paisley Thrift; and great grandchildren, Matthew Halstead, Hagan Henrickson, Jaxon Foster, Kingstan Henrickson, Kathryn Turner, and Langstan Henrickson.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Donald Thrift, Sr., she was predeceased by a son, Donald R. Thrift, Jr.; and a brother, Billy Cox.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Casey Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. Burial will follow the service at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
