Judson Edward Hines

Judson Edward Hines, age 80 of Fairforest, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. Ed was born May 11, 1945 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Robert Berry Hines and the late Mary Belle Dobson Hines. He was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church in Arcadia, SC and had served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and as a member of the church choir. Ed was the owner operator of Ed Hines Nursery in Fairforest, SC and had a strong love for plants and horticulture. Ed will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as not only a famously huge Clemson Tigers fan but as a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

Ed is survived by his wife of sixty years, Cassandra Ford Hines, three sons; Jud Hines (Wendy), Keith Hines (Nicki) and Graylon Hines, eight grandchildren; Storm, Brooke, Victoria, River, Jackson, Lakelon, Vivian and Zoey. One sister in law Leslie Hines

In addition to his parents, Judson was preceded in death by one brother, Ben Hines.

There will be a family conducted Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Arcadia First Baptist Church in Arcadia, SC with Pastor Steven Ragan and Pastor Joey Burnette officiating. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
