Joseph “Joe” Gary Wofford, 63, loving husband of Donna Black Wofford of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Born in Charlotte, NC, on October 1, 1963, he was a son of Benjamin Gary Wofford and his wife Linda, and Rita Griswold Petoskey and her husband, Ted.
Joe served as Sr. Vice President of Kymco USA.
To know him was to love him. Joe was a devoted son, loving husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, and beloved uncle. Though he may have had a tough exterior, those who knew him best knew the gentle, humble, and caring heart of a true teddy bear. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and loved, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was a hardworking man whose influence reached far beyond his own accomplishments. He was proud to be part of an incredible company, having helped build it from the ground up through dedication, determination, and years of hard work. He believed in what he did and gave so much of himself along the way.
Above all else, his family was his greatest pride and joy. His wife and children were his world, and the love he had for them was immeasurable. Then came his grandchildren, who brought a whole new kind of happiness into his life and made his world even more complete. They brought out a special joy in him that was impossible to miss.
Joe was a man who never needed recognition or praise to know his worth. His humility, generous heart, strong work ethic, and unconditional love spoke louder than words ever could. He leaves behind a legacy built not only through his hard work and accomplishments, but through the countless lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. Joe will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
In addition to his wife and parents, Joe is survived by a daughter, Amanda Isetts and her husband, Zach; a son, Kyle Wofford and his wife, Mallory; a sister, Kelly Hall; a brother, Todd Wofford and his wife, Angie; grandchildren, Braxton Wofford, Jude Mason, Waylon Isetts, Kynnedi Isetts, and Millie Wofford; his father-in-law, Don Black; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at The Lodge at Lake Bowen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward an educational trust established in Joe’s memory for the benefit of his grandchildren. Donation information will be forthcoming.
