John Randolph "Randy" Creager, Jr.

Mr. John Randolph "Randy" Creager, Jr., age 75, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mr. Creager was born on September 30, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Patricia Shepperd Creager and John Randolph Creager, Sr. Randy worked as a nuclear and electrical engineer. He was a veteran of the United States Army, earning two Army Commendation Medals for his dedicated service. He was a friend of the VFW, Veterans organization . Above everything, family was the most important.  He loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Randy loved to learn and could often be found reading, his favorite genres being westerns, science fiction, and fantasy.  He had a passion for hands on work, including building a television and computer from scratch, and especially enjoyed writing game coding with his daughters. Randy also enjoyed fishing, and his wife has fond memories of special trips like one where they fished in the Panama Canal.

Left to cherish his memory, are his wife, Isabelita Mamador Creager; daughters, Jennifer Powell and Stella Grove (Jake); grandchildren, Colten Powell (Michaella), Christian Powell (Morgan), Jackson Grove, and Scarlett Grove; great-grandsons, Carter Powell and Cade Powell; and nieces and nephews, Chip, Barb, Dave, and Jacki. In addition to his parents, Mr. Creager was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Bale and Bobbi Jacob; a son-in-law, Christopher Powell; nieces, Diana and Ginger; and a nephew, Tom.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, South Carolina with Hospice Chaplain, Katie Harvey officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
