John Wayne Mccraw

John Wayne McCraw, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.

Born in Cherokee County, SC, he was a son of the late John Odell McCraw and Cecile Morris McCraw. Wayne owned and operated Spartanburg Mobile Home Supplies for many years. He was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Zelene Smith and Betty Ravan; and a brother, Douglas McCraw.

Left to cherish Wayne's memory is his wife, together for 27 years, Thelma McCraw; daughter, Lezlie Z. Long (Landon); son, John Wayne McCraw, Jr.; sister, Nell Lee; three grandchildren, Kaitlen, Justin and Cassidy; two great-grandchildren, Channing and Piper; three step-children, Larry Wayne Yarbrough (Brooke), Scott Yarbrough (Cindy) and Joey Yarbrough (Anne); step-grandchild, Jacey; and three step-great-grandchildren, Cayley, Edwin and Alex.

Wayne's family would like to extend a very special "Thank you" to the staff of Family Hospice, especially Jacob, who was Wayne's nurse.

A funeral service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Casey Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Lyda officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00pm until 2:45pm.
