John "Buddy" Freeman

John "Buddy" Freeman, 68, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late John Freeman and Evelyn Franklin Freeman. He attended Boiling Springs High School and graduated in 1974. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Buddy was very giving, forgiving, and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four sisters, Sue Nix, Wanda Thompson, Virginia "Gin" Campsen, and Mary Fuqua.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Hamrick Freeman; two sons, John "BJ" Freeman and David Freeman; daughter, Starr Freeman Riddle (Clifford); brother, James "Jimmy" Freeman; three grandchildren, Maryssa Freeman White, John "Sammie" Freeman, and Xander Freeman; two great-grandchildren, Zebadiah White and Marya Snow White; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs.
