John Michael Foster

Mr. John Michael Foster, age 80, of Inman, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mr. Foster was born on April 12, 1944, in Alliance, Ohio, a son of the late Blanche Norton Foster and James Foster. He worked in logistics and was a Terminal Manager and Regional Manager in the trucking industry for thirty-eight years. Mr. Foster was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. Mr. Foster served in the United States Navy from 1962-1966 on the USS Saratoga, during which time he earned a National Defense Services Ribbon. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 200 for seventeen consecutive years.

Left behind to cherish his memory are a daughter, Kelly Fuqua (Jimmy); granddaughters, Rebekah Bruce (Chandler) and Rachel Brown (Garrett); and three great-granddaughters, Emilia Bruce, Ella Bruce, and McKinlee Brown. In addition to his parents, Mr. Foster was predeceased by his wife, Derenda Foster, and two sisters Lana Foster and Kathy Huffman.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, with Rev. John Lee, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends in the chapel following the service.
