Joe Ronald Blanton

Joe Ronald "Ronnie" Blanton of Rutherford County passed away December 12, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional. He was born September 29, 1947 to the late Giles "Bill" Blanton and the late Mary G. Blanton.

Ronnie was a life long Farmer, Electrician, Equipment Repairman, and Realtor in NC & SC. First and foremost he was a Christian, serving as Deacon at Sandy Run Baptist for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend to many. He was known for his vast knowledge of John Deere equipment and the ability to fix it all.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Caron (BF Corey), special grandson Dalton, his beloved granddog Turner and a special group of "rent-a-sons" as he called them, Dennis Terry, David Cooper, Warren Cooper, Brandon Morrison and Sean Clark.  A brother Don Blanton (Aileen) and his favorite nephew Josh Blanton (Laura). Extended family Dan & Melissa Collins and Julie Collins-Baird (Mark)

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Blanton and Danny Blanton.

The family will have a graveside service December 15, 2023 at 2pm in the Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
