Jimmie Lee Knight

Jimmie Lee Knight, 64, of Statesboro, GA passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025.

Born October 3, 1960, in Highpoint North Carolina and being raised in Brooklet, Georgia by Lillian and John Hagan, Jimmie was a man who lived life to the fullest, leaving a legacy of love, laughter and dedication.

Jimmie was a devoted partner to Nancy Lowe and loving brother to Kynette Moore, loving father to Kasi Boni (Louie), Kenneth Knight (Amanda) and Kayla Wolfe (Brian). He was a proud grandpa to Aubree Knight, Ava Knight, Lb Boni and Lily Lowe. He was a doting uncle to several nieces and nephews to all of whom brought him immense joy.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his mama and daddy Lillian and John Hagan, Mother and Father, Shirley Knight and Jimmie Glenn Knight, brother Kyler Knight and sister Karen Morris, but his friends and family will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A hard-working man, Jimmie spent many years as an elevator service technician for the National Elevator Service. He was known for his work ethic and kind-hearted nature. Outside of his career, Jimmie had a deep love for his hobbies, particularly his passion for John Deere tractors. He had a special connection to all kinds of tractors and later developed a love for "pulling tractors", earning numerous accolades from his success in the sport. Jimmies zest for life never waned. As he entered retirement, he found new adventures with his Harley Davidson bike, hitting the open road with his biker friends. He embraced life with a sense of freedom and joy that was contagious to those around him. His warm heart, laughter and infectious smile will be deeply missed.

A man of strong faith, Jimmie loved God and carried his beliefs with humility and grace. He was a true friend to man and cherished his relationships with both family and friends. Those who knew him best will remember his genuine kindness, unwavering support and his ability to bring light into any room he entered.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Leefield Baptist Church, 5294 Brooklet-Leefield Rd., Brooklet, Georgia 30415. Burial will follow.

The family receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service on Saturday.

Jimmies memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
