Jerry Wayne Tolbert

Jerry Wayne Tolbert, age 78, of Duncan SC passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.  He was the husband of Frances "Fran" Tolbert, to whom he was married for 59 years.

He was born in Mount Airy, NC on June 29, 1945, to the late Glenn Tolbert and Marie Tolbert Blackwell.  Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a Seebee. He was a Christian and served the Lord in his daily walk. Jerry was a member of Greer First Baptist Church. He was an electrical contractor, craftsman, builder, great friend, and an even better Dad and Papa. His passions were spending time with his family and restoring Sunbeam Tigers.

Left to cherish his memory are Fran, their son Greg, his wife Lori, and their twin sons Coleman and Andrew, along with a loving and extended family, and many wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 4 p.m. at Greer First Baptist Church.
