Jerry Dexter Holland

Mr. Jerry Dexter Holland, 80, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. He was born on March 8, 1943 in Spartanburg to the late J.D. Holland and Christine Cole Holland.

Mr. Holland was a lifelong member of the Converse Cowpens Masonic Lodge # 210, a member of the Spartanburg Shrine Club, and had completed both the Scottish Rites, and York Rites.

He was a great neighbor and member of his community. Jerry loved his neighbors and his friends. He loved his parents and his children more than anything else in the world. He especially looked forward to the days when his daughter Nicole would take him to The Mighty Moo Festival in Cowpens, The Spartanburg County Fair, Basil's Restaurant, and to local fish fry nights in Converse. Today he is back driving his Trans Am while wearing his cowboy hat with Waylon Jennings playing on his eight track tape player. If you could see him driving by you might think he was Burt Reynolds in his prime.

He is survived by a daughter, Nicole Holland Edwards; and sons, J. Darryl Holland and Josh Dexter Holland.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Danny Ivan Holland.
