Jennie Gosnell Westbrook

Jennie Gosnell Westbrook, 87, of Inman, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 30, 2026. Born June 9, 1939, in Green Creek, NC, she was a daughter of the late David Gosnell and Mary Lee Williams Gosnell.

Mrs. Westbrook was a retired textile machine operator and a member of Green Point Baptist Church. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be remembered for her caring spirit and the many meals she prepared for her family. She was especially known for her banana pudding.

Surviving are a daughter, Dana Holloway and her husband, Tim; a son, Robin Westbrook and his wife, Sandra; five grandchildren, Nicole Long and her husband, Curtis, Clayton Westbrook and his wife, Shelby, Morgan Alvarado and her husband, Anthony, Brystol Wilkins and her husband, Colby, and Georgia Holloway; three great-grandchildren, Preston Long, Natalee Long, and Ayden Wilkins; and a great-grandchild expected in February.

In addition to her husband, Terry Dupre Westbrook and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Otho Gosnell, Layton Gosnell, Harvey Gosnell, Herman Gosnell, John Constance, Viril Gosnell, and Nancy Joyce Gosnell Cooper.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Dr. David Lancaster. The family will speak with friends following the service.

The family will be at the home.
