Jeffrey Joe Justis

Mr. Jeffrey Joe Justis, 82, of Inman, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Mr. Justis was born November 23, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Harry and Lola Bridwell Justis. He was a member of Parkway Freewill Baptist Church. He worked as a schoolteacher and a principal for many years. Mr. Justis attended Kansas State University, where he earned his master's degree. Mr. Justis was a history buff, loved to read, and loved his two dogs.

Left to cherish his memory are wife, Geraldine Kirby Justis; a son, John Paul Justis; three stepchildren, Tina Hughes (Mickey), Robert Puckett (Wanda), and James R. Puckett (Hiroe); seven step grandchildren, Bryant Hughes, Kirby Hughes, Corey Puckett, Austin Puckett, Maria Morr, Sheena Puckett, and May Puckett; and ten step great-grandchildren, Josephine Hughes, Jensen Hughes, Ethan Puckett, Evan Puckett, Charlotte Puckett, Teddy Puckett, Fiona Morr, Jake Morr, Max Coleman, and Zach Puckett. Mr. Justis was predeceased by step great-grandchildren, Lydia Puckett and Carter Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, South Carolina with Pastor Mitch Edge officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Law, Corey Puckett, and Austin Puckett.

The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
