Janice Faye English White

Janice Faye English White, age 72, passed away peacefully on, March 30, 2025. She was the wife of Malcolm Stanley "Stan" White of Spartanburg, SC for more than 39 years and daughter of John Bert English, Jr. and Lucille Mobley English of Duplin County, NC.

Survived by her beloved husband, Stan along with her youngest siblings, Anthony Wade "Tony" English of Inman, Susan Jane English of Rutherfordton and Lori Renee English of Wilmington, NC. Also survived by four nephews and two nieces along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her beloved dogs, Watson and Wilma.

She was predeceased by her parents and sister Wanda Levonne English of Polk County, NC and Johnnie Butler English (Rose) of Spartanburg. She also survived nieces Johanna Leigh English and Patricia Vivian Poteat.

Janice attended Spartanburg County schools and graduated from Spartanburg High School and Spartanburg Community College. Retiring in 2017 as office manager with Tex-Mach, Inc. of Mayo, SC. Much thanks to Andrew Falatok, as the World's Greatest Employer with 26 years of mutual respect and friendship.

A proud former member of the Piedmont Civitan Club. Previous member of Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg. Over the years, she belonged to several groups and organizations mostly focusing on crafting. Dollhouses were her favorite craft.

She was anything but a sports enthusiast. Everyone that knew Stan also knew the color of his blood. During football season everyone knew where Stan was and who he was with. Somehow her disdain for sports and his passion for Clemson's Death Valley made their differences more interesting. They enjoyed traveling and covered more than half of the US States. There were dreams of covering southwestern historic areas. Hoping others can visit these areas and leave a "stone of remembrance" in their honor.

She would like to honor her dear friend of 63 years, Rose Humphries English. It began with the words, "Hey new girl" and continued with summers full of garden hoses connected to the clothesline, Bob White whistles and neighborhood gatherings for birthday parties or a ballgame. Two lives and friendships shared.

Janice and Stan had no children of their own but loved and cherished their many nieces and nephews. She would like to refrain from naming her favorite niece. She loved them all.

A visitation will be held, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4 pm to 6 pm, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
