James Curtis West

James "Buddy" Curtis West, 74, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late James Roper West and Mary Ellen Lane West. Buddy retired from Tindall after many years of service. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Buddy was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Steadings.

Buddy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Barbara L. West; two daughters, Kim West and Vicky Hall; son, Mike West; sister, Pat Johnson (Bo); brother, Jimmy West; five grandchildren, Katie, Cameron, Tyler, Makayla, and Faith; seven great-grandchildren, Kiyone, Harlem, Lennox, Christopher, Kayson, Anayah, and Kamilah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Buddy's life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee, with the Rev. Dr. David Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
