Hilda Hollifield Bailey

Hilda Hollifield Bailey, age 74 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her home. She was born October 22, 1948 to the late Jack Hollifield and the late Ruth Nichols Hollifield in Cleveland County, NC. Hilda was the widow of the late Stanley F. Bailey and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC.

Hilda is survived by her children; Wesley Shane Bailey and Candace Orr and her fiancé Wayne Carter, her grandchildren; Jack Orr, JayLynn Orr and Hasten Carter, Diamond Humphries, Cody Bridges, Lane Harris, great grandchildren; Addalynn Smith, brothers; Mike Hollifield and his wife Anna, Rene Hollifield and Doug Hollifield and his wife Pam, her sister Gloria Stidham and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Joe Hollifield, nephew Bobby Gene Fitch and brother in law Larry Stidham.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. The funeral service will be 3:00pm Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC with Reverend Mike Frazier and Reverend Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
