Hereford Franklin "Frank" Bray, Jr.

Mr. Hereford Franklin "Frank" Bray, Jr., 84, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 1, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Bray was born March 5, 1940, in Danville, Virginia, a son of the late Hereford Franklin Bray, Sr. and Thelma Eanes Bray.  He was a member of Valley Falls Baptist Church.  Frank owned and operated several furniture stores as well as other businesses.  He enjoyed traveling, visiting flea markets, and listening to music.

Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Debra Manville (Gary) and Jessica Melton (Brian); sons, Rodney Bray (Darlene), John Barker, Ike Bray (Marie), Desi Bray, Michael Bray (Andrea), Oren Bray (Kim), and David Bray; sister, Betty Gibson; brothers, Sammy Bray (Brigitte) and Ronald Bray (Sharon); twenty-five grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Allison Hinton; sons, Hereford Franklin Bray, III, Victor Lyn Bray, and Bryon Lyn Bray; sister, Patricia Davis; brother, Roger Bray, and granddaughter, Jennifer Ashley Bray.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, conducted by Reverend Doctor David Lancaster.

Interment will follow at Whitney Cemetery, 865 Iron Ore Road Spartanburg, South Carolina 29303.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Bray, Lance Bray, Johnathan Bray, Jared Bray, Gary Manville, and Brian Melton.

The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

Frank's children would like to thank his caregiver, Martha "Kay" McCullough, for the assistance in the care of their father.
