Henry Harrison Blackwell

Henry Harrison Blackwell, 82, of Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Fred Blackwell and Dovie Hutchins Blackwell. Henry retired from Kohler after 37 years, and previously worked at Eggers Funeral Homes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Henry was a member of Green Point Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Blackwell, Beulah Arledge and Estelle Gowan; and a brother, Roy Blackwell.

Left to cherish Henry's memory is his wife of 61 years, Martha Blackwell; daughter, Lora Hammett (Tim) of Boiling Springs; three brothers, Carl Blackwell of Chesnee, Fred Blackwell, Jr. of Fingerville and Sam Blackwell (Mary Nell) of Boiling Springs; and two grandchildren, Krisila Hammett of Melbourne, FL and Ansley Hammett of Boiling Springs.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

A funeral service to celebrate Henry's life will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Green Point Baptist Church with Dr. David Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
