Helen Collins Traxler

Helen Collins Traxler, 93, of Campobello, SC passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at her home.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Carl Collins, Sr. and Rebecca Christine Smith Collins. Helen was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. As an avid crafter, she was always giving away her crafts which brought a smile to many adults and children. Helen was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Collins, Jr., Harold Collins and Allen Collins.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Jeanette S. Sellars and Laura C. Sherbert; brother, Paul Collins (Susan); five grandchildren, Rochelle Walburn (Darren), Rebecca Tate (Grant), Kel Sellars (Dana), Tammy Painter (Chad) and David Mallory (Angela); six great grandchildren, Kayla, Rachel, Jacob, Abby, Josh and Layla; and three great great grandchildren, Emily, Adele and Timothy.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank you" to all the Spartanburg Regional Hospice nurses for the wonderful, loving care they provided to Helen.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Helen's life will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
