Helen Louise Nodine

Helen Louise Nodine, 82, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Wellspan York Hospital.

Ms. Nodine was a native of Spartanburg County, and a daughter of the late Hubbert Elee Jackson and Corrie Jane Gerlene Poole Jackson.  She was a retired early childhood education teacher.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Nodine; her sisters, Vivian Jackson and Maxine Kimbrell; and a brother, Ray Jackson.

She is survived by sons: Richie Scoggins (Debbie) and Jeffrey Scoggins.  A daughter: Krisie Nodine Gregg (Jason).  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Bell (Jon), Brittany Scoggins, Kyle Scoggins, and Rachel Rivera (Sway).  Her great grandchildren: Ella and Drake Bell, Miya, Tripp, and Zaylee Louise Rivera who is expected to arrive soon.

Visitation will be held at Eggers Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 6 pm.  A celebration of life will be held at Eggers Funeral Home Friday, July 3, 2026 at 11 am with a committal service to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.  The body will lie in state an hour before service begins.  Services will be officiated by Pastor Jeff Harmon and Pastor Jason Gregg.
