H. B. Guyton

Henry B. Guyton, 92, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Cherokee County on December 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Andrew and Sallie Haynes Guyton. H.B. proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later built a lifelong career in the textile industry.

H.B. was a longtime member of Arcadia First Baptist Church. He was also active in his community, serving as a member of American Legion Post 28 and as a Life Member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285. H.B.'s favorite pastime were fishing, hunting, music, and drag racing. He was one of the founding members of the North Spartanburg Fire Department.

H.B. is survived by his son, Hank Guyton (Kenni); and his daughter, Preidy Tipton. He was blessed with three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Fowler Guyton, and sister, Pat Caldwell.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Dylan Styles and Rev. Mike Doles officiating.
