H Diane Blanton

On July 3, 2023 our loving mother, H. Diane Blanton passed away in Baltimore, Maryland after a long brave battle with Parkinson's Disease. Diane was born on August 10, 1946 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina to the late Ralph O. and Helen Nix Blanton. Diane was a soft spoken woman but would bring out her steelworker attitude when necessary, and you always knew where you stood with her. She adored her family and loved traveling and playing poker. We will miss her dearly and cherish our precious memories of her. She is survived by her children Timothy R. Blanton, Michelle D. Cox and her husband Ronald. Mary L. Peacock and her husband Joseph. Grandchildren Michael Blanton, Tyler Blanton, Jessica Kyle and her husband Kevin, preceded in death by Jeremy Peacock, Renee Pullen and her husband Jeff, Eric Cox, Craig Cox and his wife Jamie. Great grandchildren Ryleigh Kyle, Ashley Kyle, Charlotte Kyle, Alison Pullen, Chase Pullen, Jenna Pullen and Jacob Cox. A brother Nathan and his wife Fannie, sister Gail and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister Rebecca Young.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00 noon on July 29, 2023 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Ellenboro, NC. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Chris Glawson officiating. Interment of the urn will be in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be a poker game Celebration of Life held in Baltimore, M.D. at a later date. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family with local arrangements.
