Grover "Bud" Thompson, Jr.

Grover "Bud" Thompson, Jr., of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on March 19, 2025. Bud was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on July 4, 1942, the son of the late, Grover Thompson, Sr. and Madge Blackwood Thompson.

Bud honorably served in the 4th Infantry of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating courage and commitment to his country. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Amelia Quinn Thompson; daughters, Jennifer Krusement (Bernard) and Kimberly Edwards (Trey); sister, Sandra Heika (Mike); grandsons, Cassidy Krusement and Graham Edwards; and granddaughter, Reiner Krusement.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with the Rev. Sean Giovannetti officiating.  Military Honors will be by Boiling Springs American Legion Post 200.
