Glenda Ann Carver

Glenda Ann Seay Carver, age 88, of Inman, South Carolina, entered her heavenly home on December 2, 2025. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James H. Seay and Willie Kathleen Raines Seay.

Glenda spent more than 30 years serving faithfully as the church secretary of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. A member of Northbrook Baptist Church, she loved the Lord and joyfully shared her gift of music by singing in the choir. She and her late husband cherished singing together at church and at local nursing homes, where they brought joy to many. Glenda loved word search puzzles, cooking, and was known for her delicious macaroni pie. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Kimberley C. Wood (Mark Hightower) of Maggie Valley, NC; son, James Christopher "Chris" Carver (Roxanne) of Inman, SC; brother, Thomas G. Seay (Wanda); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James A. Carver, and brother, James Michael Seay.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Northbrook Baptist Church, with Rev. Benny Green officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside committal will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
