Gilbert "Gil" R. Clardy

Gilbert "Gil" R. Clardy Jr., of Spartanburg went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2025 peacefully at his home. Born January 28, 1958, in Oakridge, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Gilbert R. Clardy Sr. and Joyce Cooke.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sharon Cogswell Clardy; sister, Joy Clardy Baine (Mark); beloved step-children, Amanda Heflin Gomes (Bert), Elizabeth Hefin McGaha (Drew), and Joseph H. Ellis Jr., along with numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
