George William "Billy" Medford

George William "Billy" Medford, age 72 of Spindale, NC, passed away December 27, 2022 at his home. He was born September 9, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Ruth Ann Medford. George loved cats, retired from Cone Mills Corporation Florence Plant in Forest City, NC and was a dedicated member of Spencer Baptist Church in Spindale, NC.

He is survived by his aunt Jo Medford

In addition to his mother, George was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Carrie Medford and his uncle Cleophus T. Medford.

The funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Spencer Baptist Church in Spindale, NC with Reverend Bruce Caldwell and Reverend Neil Murray officiating. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the funeral service in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the Cliffside Cemetery in Cliffside, NC. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
