Gabriel M Volk

Gabriel "Gabe" M. Volk, 89, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at NHC Healthcare Laurens.

Gabe was born in Krasna Besserabien, Romania, June 26, 1936, a son of the late Rosa Harsche Volk and Maximilian Volk. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.  He dedicated much of his life to his craft as a skilled die maker, taking pride in the precision and hard work of his trade. He found joy on his farm, especially behind the wheel of his tractor, tending to the land he loved.  His greatest happiness came from the time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride.  He also enjoyed any chance to dance, especially at the Oktoberfest celebrations.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Thomas George Volk, and wife, Jennifer, and Richard Gabe Volk, and wife, April; and grandchildren, Bailey Volk, Bradley Volk, Kyle Volk, and wife, Madeleine, Caitlin Volk, Zoey Volk, Claire Volk, Nicole Volk, and Kade Volk.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 62 years,  Anneliese Fick Volk; son, Herbert Max Volk; sister, Rosemarie Volk Loch; and brother, Anton Volk.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs with Rev. Tim Worthy officiating.

A private family burial will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
