Freda Ann White Ledford

Freda Ann White Ledford, age 82 of Forest City, NC, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. She was born January 4, 1942 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Horace White and the late Grace Wilkie White. Freda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Cliffside, NC. She was retired from Sonoco Crellin in Forest City, NC after 26 years of service and had volunteered at the Cancer Resource Center in Forest City, worked and volunteered at the Grace of God Rescue Mission in Forest City and with the entertainment group at the senior center in Spindale. Freda will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and aunt.

Freda is survived by her son Eric Wease and his wife Christina, her daughter Pam Givens and her husband Bruce Givens Sr., her grandchildren; Heather Causby and her husband Donny, Tommy Erwood and his wife Amanda, Haley Givens, Lilly Wease and Emily Wease, her great grandchildren; Chloe Erwood, Brayden Erwood, Felix Nieto, Luna Nieto and Brelee Causby, her three nieces.

In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her brother Doug White and three sisters; Coleen Ledbetter, Nancy Earls and Mary Francis White.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Cliffside, NC. The funeral service will be at 12:30pm at the church with Reverend Tim Frashier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Grace of God Rescue Mission at 537 West Main St. Forest City, NC 28043 or to Calvary Baptist Church at 1509 Ferry Rd. Mooresboro, NC 28114. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
