Elsie Poole Murdock

Elsie Murdock, 89, of Campobello, SC, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.

She was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 1, 1934.

Elsie loved her family.  She is survived by her son, Charles Gilmore (Bonnie); grandsons, Travis Gilmore (Marie), Jimmy Queen, and Benny Queen (Christy); great granddaughter, Chloe Gilmore; brother, Roy Poole (Dixie); sister, Barbara Crowe; son-in-law. Sammy Queen and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Murdock; son, Larry Gilmore; daughter, Cathy Queen; grandson, Shannon Gilmore; brothers, Robert Poole, Jr., and Dennis Poole; sisters, Thelma Smith, Carolyn Burgess, Ruby Smith, and Earline Poole Jackson; father, Clarence Poole; and mother, Nettie Poole Kimbrell.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Elsie's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in the Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs, SC officiated by Rev. Barry Looper and Rev. Wayne Hinton.  Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
