Elsie "Sister" Irene Bradley

Elsie "Sister" Irene Bradley, 81, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Irvin Alec Bradley and Rilla Padgett Bradley. After her mother passed away, Sister became the matriarch of her family. She was an active member of United Baptist Church (formerly Hayne Baptist Church). In addition to her parents, Sister was preceded in death by two sisters, Dawn Going (Jackie) and Barbara Yochum; two brothers, Gene Bradley (Merdie) and Butch Bradley; three brothers-in-law, Paul Gibson, Jr., Alfred Hysmith and Ray Horton; niece, Kim Hysmith Pitts; and nephew, Hayward Calvert.

Left to cherish Sister's memory are her brother, Wayne Bradley (Brenda); three sisters, Pat Horton, Nancy Gibson and Beverly Hysmith; sister-in-law, Sissy Bradley; fifteen nieces and nephews, Tim Gibson, Michael Calvert, Angie Ravan, Bonnie Bradley, Missy Bradley, Jenny Libby, Rick Willis, Frankie Bradley, Scott Bradley, Geno Bradley, Ben Hysmith, Lucas Fleming, Amber Cooper, Jacob Gibson, Tyler Gibson (and his son, Colton) and Stephanie Batchelor (and her boys, Timmy and Paul); many great-nieces and great-nephews; and three great-great-nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Sister's life will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, August 30, 2024 at United Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Emory officiating. Burial will be at 2:00pm at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
