Elaine Ann Kitchens

Elaine Ann Phipps Kitchens passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, generosity, and love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil Woodrow Kitchens; her parents, Genevieve Hanifan Phipps and Edward Roland Phipps; and her siblings, Lois Baltz and Bob Phipps.

Elaine was a devoted mother to Tommy Bordenkircher, Kelle Shaw, and Cyndi Harrell. She was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.

A faithful member of Golightly United Methodist Church, Elaine's Christian faith was the foundation of her life. She found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord and was known by all who knew her as a beautiful, kind, funny, and devoted Christian woman. In her later years, she was blessed by the ministry and friendship of Pastor Joey Turner of Encounter Church.

Elaine enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved working word searches, watching her favorite soap operas, and delighting in sneaking treats to the dogs, cats, and grandchildren. She was an avid collector of cards, notepads, and calendars, many of which she received from the charitable organizations she faithfully supported through her generous donations.

After becoming ill in October 2025, Elaine continued to face life's challenges with grace and faith. Her warm smile, caring heart, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The family will forever cherish the memories they shared with Elaine and find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
