Edna Mintz Allison

Edna Mintz Allison, age 93 of Gaffney, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the home of her niece Vicky Arrowood. She was born June 7, 1929 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Oscar Mintz and Maude Bachelor Mintz. Edna was the widow to the late Maynard Allison. She was a faithful and active member of Camps Creek Baptist Church up until the time she was unable to attend because of her health. She worked for almost 25 years at Peelers Rug Mill. Edna never met anyone that she didn't always tell them she loved them no matter how long she had known them. She loved to sit on the front porch and be with her family but she especially loved to see Liam Arrowood coming to see her as he was a very special great great nephew to her.

Edna is survived by her niece Vicky Arrowood, great nephew Brad Arrowood , great niece Erin Peeler and her very special great great nephew Liam Arrowood.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by her siblings; Ray Mintz, Max Mintz, Gladys Mintz and Shirley Kulpinski and a niece Carol Peeler.

A graveside service will be at 1:00pm Monday, March 6, 2023 at Camps Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A celebration of life service will follow at 1:30pm in the sanctuary of the church with Reverend Steve Durham officiating.
