Dorothy "Dot" P. Addis

Dorothy "Dot" P. Addis, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Born in Walhalla, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Franklin Wilbanks and Mena Wilbanks. She was a long-time member of Green Point Baptist Church. Dot was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Dot was also a big Gamecock and Panthers fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Pearson; second husband, Boyce Addis; son, James "Jim" David Pearson; and sister, Janie Lee.

Left to cherish Dot's memory are her three daughters, Janet Kinlaw (Darryl), Karen Osteen, and Michelle Cargill (Edwin); eleven grandchildren, Jimmy Pearson, Jamie Splawn, Ricky Pearson, Janna Walling, Krystal Pearson, Austin Kingsley, Naomi Kingsley, Rebecca Osteen, Brianna Dodgin, Faith Cargill, and Addison Cargill; and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

A funeral service to celebrate Dot's life will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Green Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Lancaster and Jonathan McPeters officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
