Doris Holden Giles

Doris Holden Giles, 93, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

She was a native of Spartanburg County and was the daughter of the late John Richard and Mae Reynolds Holden. She was the widow of Madison D. Giles who died in 1997.

Mrs. Giles was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and Robinson's Business College. She was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and was retired from Boiling Springs First Baptist Church as church secretary. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Giles was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki G. Fisher; and five brothers, Royce, Robert, Leonard, Hubert, and Thomas Holden.

Survivors include two daughters, Patti G. Hall (Mark) of Boiling Springs, and Susan G. Tew (Robin) of West Columbia; one son, Kenneth D. Giles (Wanda) of Boiling Springs, six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Hank Williams officiating. Private burial will be in the Boiling Springs First Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00am until 11:00am.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Giles' grandsons: Michael Tew, Nicholas Fisher, Isaac Wilkerson, Alan Smith, Kyle Hall, and Chase Hall.
