Doris Melinda Fowler

Doris Melinda Fowler "Nannie," 72, of Spindale passed away on September 6, 2025 at Rutherford Regional. Born August 17, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Betty D. Wall and step-father Frank Wall

Nannie was the heart of the family. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she made it her mission to take care of everyone around her. If you walked through her door, you never left hungry. Her meatloaf, macaroni pie, and that famous coconut pineapple cake were family favorites that always brought people together. She loved to dance and had a soft spot for country music, especially Josh Turner. Nannie will be remembered for her big heart, her cooking, and the way she made everyone feel loved and at home. She gave so much of herself, and her family will carry her spirit with them always

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Victor Nolan.

She is survived by her sons, Jason O'Steen, and Jeff O'Steen (Starlet); sister, Candy Goodwin; grandchildren' Michael, Matthew, Johnathan, Jeffery, Caitlyn, and Jacob Sr. (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Bella Rae, and Jacob Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until7:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.

Nannie lives on in the countless memories she created and the love she poured into her family.
