Dennis Leon Cooper

Dennis Leon Cooper, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2025.

Born on August 6, 1939, in Gaffney, South Carolina, he was a son of the late, Paul Cooper and Zonnie Matilda Blake Cooper.

Dennis was a member of Orchard Baptist Church.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Zellan Jolley Cooper; sons, Ricky Cooper (Dreama), Tony Cooper, and Michael Cooper (Jodie); along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Billy Dean Cooper and James Cooper.

A funeral service to honor Dennis's life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home, Chesnee, South Carolina. The service will be officiated by Rev. Troy Blanton and Rev. Stacey Smith. Receiving of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Holly Springs Senior Living, Cindy Poteet, Ann Marie Jolley and all of the nurses at Holly Springs Senior Living, and also Hospice of the Carolinas.
