Darla Kim Burchfield

Darla Kim Burchfield, 63, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Kim was born in Gaffney, SC, January 19, 1962, a daughter of the late Wilma Vincent Jones, and Nick Blackwell.  She was a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College and worked as a nurse at The Charles Lea Center. She will be remembered as an avid lover of animals, especially dogs, and cats.

She is survived by sisters, Alesa Holden (Frank), Teresa Lewis, Nancy Hembree (Willis), Sheree McComas; brothers, Nick "Stoney" Blackwell, Shane Blackwell (Andrea), and Shannon Blackwell; nieces, April Lamb, and Sarah Melon, who helped care for Kim; a nephew, Jimmy Blackwell of the home; and numerous other nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Sheena Lardieri.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Cash officiating.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
