Danny Mason

Danny Mason, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Born in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Broadus L. Mason and Hattie Bell Padget Mason. Danny was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church. Danny was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard. He also loved racing hot rods with his brothers and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Patricia Coggins Mason; daughter, Julie Mason McDaniel (Blain); son, Keith Mason; sister, Alber Smart (Thomas); five grandchildren, Christopher Mason (Melissa), Ashley Roark (Adam), Joshua Mason (Kylie), Eric McDaniel, and Jared McDaniel; and 4 great-grandchildren, Ayden Roark, Ansley Roark, Teagan Mason, and Parker Mason.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs with the funeral service following at 2:00pm in the chapel with Rev. Kris Showen and Rev. Danny Garrett officiating. Burial will be private.
