Daniel Mark Wensell

Mr. Daniel Mark Wensell, 64, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on February 18, 2023. He was born in Johnstown, PA on December 2, 1958 to the late Dorothy Jane Schrumm Wensell and Edward William Wensell, Sr.

Mr. Wensell was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and loved his church family. He was proud of his children and grandchildren (his greatest joy), whom he affectionately referred to as his "Boompas and Boomettes". He loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors, cooking for friends and family, singing, and could play any instrument. His hobbies included golfing, bowling, football, and camping. Danny was a loyal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. He was the king of dad jokes, known as the life of the party, and he never met a stranger.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, Beverly Ann Swancer Wensell, he is survived by daughters, Dr. Lori Jones (Eric), Cheri Duncan (Rev. Daniel), and Traci Cantu (Giovanni); son, Christopher "Bubba" Wensell (Christina); brothers, Edward Wensell, Jr. (Tammy), and Brian Wensell, Sr. (Rita); grandchildren, Bryce, Ethan, Shakaia, DJ, Julia, Christina, Sophia, Adelynn, Carson, Everleigh, Vicente, Skyler, AJ, and John Michael;  mother-in-law, Carol Swancer; brother-in-law, John Swancer (Stacey); sister-in-law, Michelle Acierno (Mark); and special "brothers", Steve Pierson, Pedro Segarra, David Segarra, Todd Boyter, David Duncan, and Jose Cantu.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 3:00PM at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. David Duncan and Rev. Daniel Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the church.
